Victor Moses’ representative has reiterated his desire to make sure that that his client ends up at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Moses, despite being a regular with the Nigerian National Team, finds himself embroiled in one relegation battle after another every season.
Wigan Athletic are annual strugglers and the only reason why they are able to stay in the Premier League is down to Roberto Martinez’s impeccable signings on a budget and his will to keep the team at England’s top level.
However Moses has been attracting attention from a host of top clubs, as he was in good form last season, managing to net 6 goals in 38 appearances for the Latics.
While his goal scoring may not be the highest in the Premiership, his consistency and injury-free run is what has got the suitors captivated.
Amongst those who are interested in signing him, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 is definitely the biggest name and the prospect of playing for the UEFA Champions League winners is something to which Moses simply can’t say no.
While it is reported that the Londoners are keen to land the Nigerian, Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has dismissed the rumours as a ploy to get a substantial pay rise.
“The agents are just coining in money off the backs of these lads. It makes you wonder whether it’s all worth it,” said the businessman.
But the player’s agent has continued his tirade against the club and claimed that he will ensure that the attacker signs for the Blues before the transfer window closes.
“I know how these things work, but I’m not getting involved in a slanging match. All I will say is, how did Victor end up at Wigan, when he could have gone to Manchester City? Who took him to Wigan?” he said.
“Providing Wigan can agree a fee with Chelsea, I will do all I can to make the move happen for Victor,” the representative was quoted as saying.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo is currently searching for a top class forward in order to strengthen his ranks. And considering that the move is unlikely to cost more than £4-5 million, there is a high chance it
could go through before the summer is out.
