  1. Taxi Fare Finder

    Estimated cost:

That cab ride would cost about $56.06. It is about 19.15 miles. There is a $2.50 surcharge for trips from LAX Airport.

    Possible directions:

    1. Go South on World Way toward Parking Lot, then drive 0.03 miles

    2. Continue on Parking Lot, then drive 0.22 miles

    3. Turn left on Center Way, then drive 0.57 miles

    4. Continue on Century Blvd, then drive 0.06 miles

    5. Take ramp and go North on SR 1 (S Sepulveda Blvd), then drive 0.63 miles

    6. Continue on S Sepulveda Blvd, then drive 15.09 miles

    7. Turn left on Royal Hills Dr, then drive 0.39 miles

    8. Continue on Westfall Dr, then drive 0.08 miles

    9. Turn right on Ballina Canyon Rd, then drive 0.61 miles

    10. Turn left on Ballina Dr, then drive 0.14 miles

    11. Turn left on Bosque Dr, then drive 0.5 miles

    12. Turn right on Petit Ave, then drive 0.65 miles

    13. Turn left on Ventura Blvd, then drive 0.2 miles

    13. Arrive at destination

Directions are only suggestions, and may not be the optimal or actual route.

You can get a more accurate estimate by going to the following site and entering in the actual address you will be going to along Ventura Blvd.

Also, keep in mind this is only an estimate, and the actual fare can vary due to traffic density and the actual route taken by the driver.

  2. Probably around $70.  Might be less if you go with a smaller company.

  3. I would suggest skipping the Taxi since there are some very reasonable transit options available between LAX & Ventura Blvd. First choice would be LADOT line #574 express from just outside LAX right on Century Blvd @ 98th Street. this line will take you express to Encino near Ventura Blvd and Havenhurst but only runs weekday rush hours Cost $2.65 Another option from LAX is to take the Culver Citybus line 6 from the LAX city bus center ajacent to parking lot C (free shuttle from airline terminals) ride to Westwood Blvd & Wilshire Blvd then transfer to MTA line 761 which contiues to Ventura Blvd in the Valley, cost $1.00 including the interagency transfer. Lastly the Van Nuys Flyaway bus from the airline terminals can get you directly to the Valley from LAX for $4.00 which would be only a short taxi or bus ride on line 237 (cost $1.25) from the Van Nuys station to Venture Blvd. Good Luck!

  4. here are the fares for city of los angeles taxis

from city of Los Angeles department of transportation

    website

    Fares (ordinances 177843 & 178050 , effective 10/01/06 and 12/25/06)

All Passengers Ride for Price of One

    1. $2.65 Flag drop (First 1/7th mile).

    2. $0.35 For each additional 1/7th mile ($2.45 per mile).

    3. $0.35 For each 47.5 seconds waiting time and/or traffic delay ($26.53 per hour).

    4. $42.00 Flat fare for trips between LAX and downtown.

Area bounded by Alameda St., Santa Monica Fwy., Harbor Fwy., Cesar E. Chavez, Union Station and Chinatown.

    5. $2.50 Surcharge for all trips originating at LAX.

    6. $15.00 Minimum fare for trips originating at LAX (In addition to the $2.50 surcharge)

as you can see it would be very expensive to take a taxi

from Lax to Ventura blvd (then where on Ventura blvd

since that street is already 15 miles long in the first place

    as well

Ventura blvd starts in Woodland hills and ends near Universal city..

you probably would save money if you caught a shuttle instead

    or there is always transit,

    as well.

  5. The cab is going to break you so fast like 2.00 to start off with and every 30 seconds it goes by 35 cents..

My suggestion to you is you can take the Orange Line
