PHILADELPHIA/NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. brewer Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc (BUD.N) agreed to a $50 billion takeover by Belgium-based InBev NV (INTB.BR), a source familiar with the situation said on Sunday, creating the world's largest beer maker.

Hoe many local maskers of anything we trust have sold out to European makers. We get lead in our children toys, poison in our pet treats and chemicals for anti-freeze in our cough syrup! Ecoli in our veggies and they sell our most well known beer maker to a foreign company!

I will never drink Bud again! My wife and I go through a case a week, I can settle for Corona and lime - s***w Bud

  1. They have been big contributors to La Raza for many years. I wouldnt pee down their throat if their lungs were on fire!

Bud was a sell-out LONG BEFORE they sold out. The heck with them long ago.

  2. Isn't good for you anyway.

Yep, another company selling us down

    the river.

  3. Yup McCain family is so American are they not? HA HA and HA

What a joke they are for true patriotism. Selling out to the crown, soon they will own the US. only took 233 years.

  4. the German war machine breath's life once again

  5. I dont think it will make much difference to InBev if you and I dont drink Bud, but I support your feelings!

  6. Good.  I would suggest looking into breweries from local markets.  The microbrewery movement is fantastic and keeps profits local and supports local industry.

  7. I don't see why a European company would want to buy Bud.

    That's like BMW buying Kia.

  8. Good choice - it's a watered-down, p**s-poor beer, no matter where the money goes.

Did you know, however, that Corona isn't brewed in the US? So, do you support the Europeans or the Mexicans? The European's aren't bringing drugs and themselves over the border illegally and taking our jobs. The Mexicans are.

I'll just keep on doing what I do - which is drink local brews. There are so many breweries here in WI that make beer so much better than any mass quantity lager or specialty import. I'm keeping the monies local, not supporting the wtebacks, and my beer is better than from either place.

  9. Try a real Budweiser from the Czech republic, that's where it comes from.  The American soda pop version is simply a name bought from them.  In Bev make Stella lager and loads of real beers so you could get the chance to learn lots if you can open your mind and they don't take the chance to rip off your market knowing only cheap and nasty will sell in a big enough way.

  10. Dude, your president was trying to sell our ports to an arab country, this really should not surprise you at this point in the game.

  11. Support your beer bro. Support the FAIR TAX. You will be able to enjoy American bush at home again soon. Taxes are pushing business out. Do you really think that after all this time AB would sell out for the h**l of it?  Budweiser Marlboro and Coca Cola are the 3 most valuable brand names in the world. Nobody wants to leave, but to keep it going, it has to move.  Support the fair tax, bring business back home to America.

  12. I don't really think they had much of a choice in the matter...

blame the lagging American economy I guess.

Where's Corona brewed? Who owns them?

  13. So because Budweiser sold out to a foreign concern you will only drink imported beer, that way, instead of the profits going out of the country and Americans still having jobs, you will help make sure that the profits AND the JOBS go to foreigners.

What do you accomplish by doing that?  Are you trying to get others to go along with you so that ALL beer companies sell out to foreigners?

  14. corona is 50% owned by budwieser!

i'm swiching to sam adams  thanx for selling out!

first miller sold out then bud!

    when will americans wake up!

  15. It will still be brewed here, Just more Corp profits the Govt is losing.

And whats McCain got to do with this? his wife has a distributorship, nothing to do with brewing DUH

Keep raising corp taxes and NOTHING will be made here

  16. The management of a publicly traded company like Budweisser has the duty to maximize shareholder wealth.  If the offer is high enough they should take it in the best interest of the shareholder.  Yahoo! has been getting slammed for not taking Microsofts bid...if they took the deal the shareholders would have gotten over 20 billion dollars.
