Benfica star Pablo Aimar claims that he will quite football, but will not allow the football to leave him. The midfielder hinted during an interview that he might hang up his boots soon but also insisted that he might get into coaching.

“I do not know. I would not want to continue playing for some extra factor, I just would not. I respect those who do, but I have the clarity or intelligence to quit football and not allow the football to leave me,” he said.
The ex-Sky Blue International also revealed that during his younger days, it was easy for him to play every week, however that has changed as years have gone by and eventually a time will come when his body is unable to perform.
“When I was 20 years-old, I found it impossible to find a day that I did not like to play. While I still like it, I know that there will be a day when my body will simply say no,” Pablo Aimar was quoted as saying.
Despite being a veteran at Benfica by now, Pablo Aimar remains an influential player at the club and will surely be missed when he does indeed hang up his boots.
