Book a hotel at Guindy , Guindy is center place where you will get buses / train for all locations. Go to Merina or Besant Nagar at evening / Vadapalani / Nanganallur if you are spiritually interested / Head out for a cinema other wise / Or simply go a Maharaja Drive in hotel have a booz spend a day and start to kumbakonam by booking a Omni bus.

There is ahotel very adjacent to the Airport, will be economical and decent. But be careful with the strangers.

You can Get the Bus Just opposite to the Airport and if you just go another 3-6 kilometer there is a place called Tambaram where you can get both Bus and Train service.

You can go to Nanganallue Njeneya Temple, Vaideeswaran temple about 3 kilometer from the Airport.

You can Go to Gandhi Statue Beach, Zoo about 15 Kilometer from Airport, etc.., *

from where you are coming?  one day is no problem,  there is a lodge at Guindy by name Bharath Lodge, which is very cheap and is near to airport,  How you are going to kumbakonam, by air or  by train  or by bus?

hi..uncle...u can stay in AMBICA EMPIRE...IT IS SITUATED IN 100TH FEET ROAD.VADAPALANI....OPPOSITE TO NAMMA VEDDU VASANTHA BAVAN HOTEL..IT IS WELL KNOWN HOTEL ONLY....IF U STAY IN THAT HOTEL U CAN GO TO AIRPORT IN THAT SAME ROAD ONLY..IT WILL BE EASY TO REACH AIRPORT...IT IS A STRAIGHT ROAD TO AIRPORT..THERE WILL BE NO STREETS TO GO TO AIRPORT ...SO BEST PREFARE THIS HOTEL TO REACH THE AIRPORT FASTER
