The Bayern Munich winger has expressed his desire to continue playing at the Allianz-Arena beyond his current deal which expires in 2013.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 has assured his fans of his stay at the club by hinting to extend his current deal with Bayern Munich. The winger’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season, and Bayern officials are yet to present a renewed
deal to the Dutchman. Robben, however, is not worried over his future as he insists that signing a new deal is a mere formality.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international has only a year left on his current contract and there have been reports that the player is frustrated by the lack of first team opportunities recently. The 28-year-old, though, is feeling positive
amidst this entire situation, and wants his fans to settle down as it is only a matter of time when he signs a new deal with the club.
While talking to the club’s official magazine, Bayern-Magazin, the former Real Madrid star further added:
“For me things are looking fine. The fans shouldn’t feel concerned about this.”
On the other hand, Robben has been criticised by some of the former players over his selfish approach. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 man stated that there have been many situations in the past where a player decides to play for another club
when he is under contract elsewhere.
“I’ve experienced situations in my career where things can change very quickly and players can go and play somewhere else regardless of their contractual situation,” Robben concluded.
The Dutch international has had an inconsistent campaign so far and has managed 12 league appearances, netting five times during the process. The player’s current season has been plagued with injuries and his performances after
the return have been below par.
Robben has managed to score 33 goals for the club from 50 Bundesliga games. The winger’s experience could prove handy for Bayern this season as the Reds find themselves in a four-way title race alongside, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia
Monchengladbach and Schalke.
