I believe Argentina is a very nice country, one of my friends went to El Calafate and many other places, she really liked it, so I want to go as well.

  1. Hi Christina,

I may be biased as I was born there and come back regularly to Buenos Aires - born in Patagonia - so please filter through your intellect.

To squeeze an appropriate answer in two lines would be impossible as I don't know your preferences and time available.

Argentina is as big as you want it to be.

    Happy travels,

    Daniel

  2. You have to go to Buenos Aires for the culture, the nightlife and just bcause it is generally an amazing city!  In Patagonia - El Calafate for the Moreno Glacier (definate highlight), El Chalten for the mountain treks and stunning views.  Barriloche is also really beautiful.  If you have time then get yourself down to Ushuia because its the most southern town in the world.  Also for another city you should check out Salta - much smaller and more chilled than BA.

And of course get yourself to Iguazu falls as these are amazing!

There are so many fabulous places in Argentina and its such a big country - but the bus system is brilliant and it easy to get around.

How much time do you have?

  3. El Calafate is indeed lovely, but you will be swept off your feet by Buenos Aires.  Do take a wildlife tour from Puerto Madryn in Patagonia and visit the very Welsh town of Gaiman.http://www.patagonia-argentina.com/i/atl...

If you like wine, you will want to go to Mendoza. If you travel to Tierra del Fuego, it is easy to travel on to Chile, to experience another Latin American country.  It is also delightful to take the ferry to Uruguay from Buenos Aires.  Montevideo is a lovely place and the only city I have ever come across where cars stop for pedestrians wherever they happen to be crossing.
