  1. Let's see. For high quality shoes, pratically any good shoe shop. If you're looking for designer shoes at more convenient prices, you might want to try Rome's Designer Outlet Mall at Castel Romano. Here's the link: http://www.activitaly.it/shopping/Castel...

You can but Lindt chocolate boxes in almost every large, well stocked coffee bar. I think there is also a Lindt outlet store at Castel Romano.

Carbon filters can be found at big household appliance stores and big hardware stores (called "ferramenta" in Italian). I'm not sure about that particular brand though.

Other sights you should see in Rome are:

Isola Tiberina, a tiny island on the Tiber river. Very quaint.

Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna).

Also try to visit St. Paul's Basilica - it's off the usual toutist route, but worth seeing. Easily reached by the B subway. Rome has only 2 subways: the A (which is the orange line) and the B (which is the blue line).

If you have time, try to make a day trip to Villa D'Este and the Villa of Hadrian in Tivoli, a small town about 40 minutes from Rome. Here are the links to check out:
