I wish to apply for a new voter id card,i'm residing at a rented house in KKNagar,Chennai,wats the procedure

Dear Sir, i'm resing in K K Nagar, Chennai, in a rented house along with my mom and Brother and would like to know the procedure to get a New Voter Id card. Would be glad if you could tell me the procedure for the same.

you must be resident in that place for certain years(exactly not known)

logg on to "ceotamilnadu.nic.in" apply online

your address will be verified by local post man, then you will get your card

once your name is registered as a voter, you can apply for voters id card.

Local electoral office gives Form 6, for new registration. Fill it submit along with a latest photograph and address proof (Ration card or gas connection slip with your name on it). For finding out the electoral office, go to this site www.eci.gov.in
