  1. You can access the court records from home with http://www.v1g.org it does however cost money.

  2. County probate court; but you probably won't get a result. State law says probate is open for a year after the death of a party. They won't have anything but the qualification of the executor, and the will

  3. There are cook counties in most states.

Just go to the court and ask to see the court file.  There is a clerk's office for each court, and the court files are public records.

It is not likely that a probate would be completed in only 5 months if there is property to sell.

Probate is the process of paying the deceased's bills and changing the title of any property to the names of the heirs.  Sometimes the property has to be sold to pay debts before anything can be transferred.

    Good Luck

  4. Probates are public records.  You need to go to the courthouse or Hall of Records in Cook County (every state has a Cook County) and look up the record.  But it has only been 5 months and the probate may not be finished yet.

  5. Go to the county courthouse where the adjudication and filing of the will took place. You can call the county clerk and ask them where the probate records are kept. These are public records so it will not pose a problem.

Oh, you might google "Cook County, (State) probate record search" and see if anything comes up. In my area I can search probate records online.

  6. It should be on file down at the court house, and something like that should be public record.
