I wish to return to Glasgow and finish my days, any information and help will be appreciated.?

I am an elderly Glaswiegian from the East end, and would like to return. I have a one bedroomed flat to swop in Manchester. Thanks again.

if your flat is social housing (council or housing association), then have you tried looking for a swap? ... there's a good website

you have to pay a small fee to register but there are swaps available all of the country, maybe you'll find someone in Glasgow wanting to move to Manchester

are you sure you really want to go back though ... how long is it since you last lived there and do you have any family there? ... just we all get these romantic notions of things being like they were in our youth, but times have changed and the place has moved on so it's not the same any more ... think carefully, if you have friends where you are now maybe you'd be best hanging on to them

The East End has changed a lot over the years, I was born there and moved to a new town 40 odd years ago and my current boyfriend is from East End and aunts, uncles etc still stay there but there is no way I would want to return to it, people in the east end have the shortest life span in Glasgow, some of the houses are derelict building's and some of  the houses are currently being modernised but most of the residents are Asian origin and the crime rates are very high.
