I woke up half an hour ago after a nightmare - what does loosing all your teeth mean?

I have had this dream before - many times!

I don't just lose one tooth - I start to panic (in my dreams of course!) and as I start to speak - they all start falling out on to the floor!

I become more distraught as I go to pick them up and in doing so, more fall out!

Serious answers, please, what does that represent?

  1. WOW I had this dream ages ago! if you find ou ttell me! I was about 9 when i had one like this! i was at school in my dream too!

  2. This most likely represents a lack of self confidence, especially when speaking to others.  Did you notice who you were with when your teeth fell out?  This most likely represents the people you lack confidence around.  Also, the location in your dream could be important.

It shows you are afraid of messing up, not saying the right thing, embarrassing yourself.  When you go to pick them up and even more fall out.  This means that after your embarrass yourself the first time, you try to "fix" things by saying, "I really meant..... " and trying to explain.  You end up feeling even worse, as whatever you say doesn't seem to make things any better.

The actual problem lies in the fact that you lack confidence.  Even when you make a mistake, if you had more confidence, you wouldn't feel so bad, and you not be so tense when you try to express yourself.

Pray to God to guide you in learning to relax and not worry so much about what people think.  They aren't really thinking about you that much.  They are too focused on their own issues!  So, you're really not as on display as you feel.

Usually, people grow out of this along the way, but it's not fun while you are going  through it!  I make as many mistakes in front of people as I ever did (maybe more) but I don't worry about it too much.  So, I never dream about my teeth falling out these days!

    God bless you!

  3. it could mean you are worried about aging

or maybe it just means you need to go to the dentist

  4. it means that you've said something in the past that you regret saying....

  5. I heard it's a sign of self-consciousness or low self esteem. no joke i looked it up. ive had dreams like that too

  6. Teeth symbolize power, and self esteem.  I've had this dream so many times, and then wake up feeling for my teeth to make sure they're still there.

  7. there is no symbol foundin dreams that has universal meaning. how do you feel when it happened? what did that emotion seem to relate to in your waking life? thats waht its about. easy as taht.

  8. haha thats actually really funny. maybe your scared of growing old (since old people lose their teeth)

  9. If the top part of your teeth fall into your hand first, that shows a baby boy; but if it fall out on the floor, that signifies the death of someone you may know.

If the lower part of teeth fall off; it shows pain and suffering; if you are currently on debt, it shows the debt paid off.

Moreover, the dream shows something bad could happen to some of your friends; and that your family getting larger.

If you felt pain when your teeth fall off, that shows something that will go away from your house. Picking up your teeth shows that you said something regretful which you kept it secret to yourself.

  10. i read in some book my mom has that its either death of a loved one or someone closes to you might get hurt something like that

  11. Earlier today I posted a similar question... Last week I dreamt my teeth were falling out, two nights in a row. I kept thinking about it but didn't really look it up but then today my sister told me she had the same dream. I looked it up, this is what I found.

    TEETH

Are my teeth falling out? If so, what fears or worries do I have in my current life regarding appearance, age, or emotional stability? (Losing teeth is a very common dream that most people have from time to time, especially the young.)

Could this represent thinking over recent events, or a decision to be made as in 'chewing things over'?

  12. You should probably go see a dentist. And brush your teeth. Don't forget to Listerine. And stop drinking liquor.

  13. I had a friend who was a therapist and was an excellent dream analyst - he did that as a hobby, though I think he did incorporate it into his therapy. I know that he did dream interpretation different than anyone I've ever known and didn't believe that symbols meant the same thing to everyone. However, I'm almost positive that I recall him saying that the teeth falling out dream (very common) unless one had a particular association with teeth was pretty much always related to stress. And that makes sense to me. What could more stressful to the average person than all your teeth falling out? So my guess is that this was representative of some heavy duty concerns or worries in your life.
