As it is both eyelids I figured it was maybe an allergic reaction to a new moisturiser I used within the last week although it is the same brand and type as one I have used on my body for quite some time.

  1. Don't wait, conjunctivitis won't get better by itself. You can put mother's milk on it. I didn't believe this when first told but google says it works. So does medicine from the doctor and it is easier to get. With prescription medicine it will clear in a day or two.

  2. maybe mosquitos

  3. ditch the moisturiser, wait a another day or two, those two days, try the tea bagging, ice cubes or cucumbers in the eyes.  Cold spoons work well to.  If all that fails to give better results then visit a doctor.

  4. Doctor Doctor Doctor.

If it gets worse perhaps you won't be able to get there

  5. I had the same problem. Especially if I got upset and cried. Sometimes even just in the morning when I woke up.

Your body is retaining liquids, because you are dehydrated. (If it's not an allergy, if it is- try high fever tablets and see if they make a difference- they actually combat mild allergies). Make sure you drink heaps of liquids (not counting coffee and coke) during the day and the problem will disappear much sooner.

  6. this actually happened to me about a year ago and a lot of the days i would wake up with a swollen eyelid! i went to the doctor to have it check out, coz i used to always rub eyes with my fingers all the time my doctor told me that my hand always carry gems and should not rub my eyes with my hands and thats why i had that kind of reaction. or maybe there is this bacteria on ur pillow case that ur eyes are allergic to. anyway, so he prescribed some antibiotics for me and then the swollen gone away. So my advise for the future is try not to rub ur eyes with ur hand and make sure u clean ur pillow case often. But for now, i say go see a doctor and perhaps get some antibiotics. good luck!

  7. Did you try Benadryl?  Take 25 to 50 mg of it and see if it gets better.  This is probably an allergic reaction if it is the eyelids only and not the eyes themselves.

  8. Honey I would go straight to the doctor, it may be conjunctivitis, or something more.  It is best to be safe than sorry.  Are you in pain? Are your eyelids burning?  It could even be the beginning of a sty.

    Please go to the doctors.

Let me know how it gets on.  It will be interesting to find out the cause of this. I so hope it is not really bad.

  9. Pink eye?

  10. Sometimes you can develop an allergic reaction to products you have used for a long time.  Perhaps the moisturizer has been reformulated.

It could also be conjunctivitis (pink eye) , which may require a visit to the doctor for medication.

  11. my dad got bit by a black widow and thats what happened go get it checked
