  1. like others said, its probably an anole.if you could ask the question that you posed on this forum, you could answer your own question by putting anole in your search engine.ta da

  2. it sounds like an anole. first of all, spray the sides every so often or if your lizard is really smart it can learn to drink out of a shell or a bowl. 2 small crickets a week doesnt sound like enough. they die in just a few days if your lizard gets hungry they will be dead and ur anole will not eat them. so try getting some really small mealworms and putting them n the cage. it will need a heating lamp so it wont get cold and ull need to clean out its cage 1 to 2 times a week. good luck!!!

  3. The lizard may need special lighting and heating.  It may also need calcium.  First find out what kind it is then look up care on the internet.

  4. Sounds like a gecko, depending on the state.  That is why animals should not be awarded as prizes.  Poor animal.  Hope it survives.

  5. Sounds like a Green Anole.

  6. You have a Green Anole Lizard. This is a very common(and cheap) lizard in the pet trade, and commonely given away as prizes in contests. They are fairly common in Florida and other southeastern United States. They can live about 5-7 years. The instructions they gave you weren't very accurate. Green Anoles need to be fed about 3 times a week with appropriate sized gut-loaded(means you feed them before feeding them[such as cereal, crushed dog food, slice of potato, etc.] to the anole) crickets. You can supplement its diet wtih mealworms every now and again, but they should not be the staple of its diet. You can also experiment with other non-noxious insects that are appropriate size. It's better to give them about 4-5 small crickets per sitting. Provide a 10-20 gallon terrarium for it to live in with plenty of leaves and branches(real or fake). It must have a source of UV light as well as a basking lamp on one side of the tank. I would use a 50-75 watt UV light as well as a reptile UV light(which usually costs about $30 or so) Provide a proper reptile substrate and clean weekly(or for convenience, use a reptile carpet and clean often). Always keep a water bowl in the tank and change the water daily. Also, mist the inside of the cage 2-3 times daily with water and you'll notice the Anole lapping the water up from the leaves and glass. You will notice that it can also change colors from green to brown. If they're brown all the time, this can be because they're stressed, or sick, or too cold, or another underlying problem. Keep in mind that it's normal for them to be brown sometimes(especially when relaxing and sleeping). They are a communual lizard, but two males will confront eachother and the smaller male will always be stressed. It's best if you decide to get another one, that you buy another female. These little lizards take a little more effort than the guy at the fair was letting on. They are cheap, and widely available, but that doesn't mean they're disposable, so please follow these instructions and do more research on them as well.

  7. Bring it to a pet store to find out what kind it is.

  8. Probably a green anole. Feed it more than 2 small crickets a day. Check this out http://www.wnyherp.org/care-sheets/lizar...

  9. It sounds like a chameleon. Some have horns on their nose and spraying them is routine for them. If it is, it needs a lot more than just two small crickets a week!

Consult a chameleon care website and google pictures of chameleons to confirm what it is.

  10. It souns like a Green Anole.

Anyways, All they need is a 10gal tank and alot of hiding and basking spots. Get a 50 watt basking bulb and a 2.0 UVB. They will eat as much as they can consume. Put about 5 in and see if it eats it all. If so, add more. Take out any that it doesn't eat. And Yeas, Mist daily.

    Good Luck:)
