I wonder back in the old days, what the people thought when they saw a tornado?

how far is way back? there has been scentific studies and understanding of tornado's for thousands of years BC.

They probably thought of it as some kind of wrath from a god. I remember seeing the Nature Unleashed exhibit at the Field Museum in Chicago, and somewhere in there was a history of views of natural disasters. I'm pretty sure one of them had a theological perspective attached to it.

Most believed it was a low dark fog clinging to the ground. Its only a matter of time until you see the damage it's doing to realize "Oh c**p, not fog."
