  1. half of them are teenagers who THINK they have problems only a minority of them do

    EDIT

i have borderline personality disorder as well

  2. People can only answer these kinds of questions through their own experience.  Maybe they have similar symptoms as the person asking the question.  Each person can only say what has happened to them.

We only know ourselves.   We cannot give someone else a diagnosis.

Someone might say, "It seems like you might have...."  "Maybe it could be...."  That's about it.  Best Wishes to you.

  3. Self-diagnosis is idiotic unless you actually go to a trained professional and have them make a decision. Of course, then people decide they 'know better' than someone who's actually had the training and experience required to evaluate something like that.

But every section on here has its thing. Medicine is spammed by drug test questions for example.

  4. I see what you're saying and I think its because these people want to hear that they DO NOT have a disorder.  For instance when people ask "does this make me look fat" they want to hear "No" cause if they hear "yes" they might get "mouthy" like you said

  5. You don`t understand what these people are going through. They feel alone and lonely, so when they put a question on here , and get answers, some negative, some positive, then they don`t feel so isolated anymore, and it helps them to face their problem. Hopefully they will then seek professional help. As for being "mouthy" as you put it, maybe the answers were from sceptics like you, just a thought!!

  6. Hi,

I think there are so many of them questions because of how flipent people are about using words like depressed. People think if they are down for a week ...usually because they have broke up with a boyfriend or something that it means they are depressed...they don't really understand the gravity of the illness. I think a lot of people who know there is something mentally wrong with them fear the answer and don't want the labels and often avoid going to doctors and stuff too. It's usually only those who don't really have a clue that start wanting to have a label to describe their behaviour.

However I don't want to neglect those who ask out of genunine concern for themselves and at the end of the day i think it's worse to ignore peoples concerns about their health than to give some form of help or knowlegde to them

    best of luck

    x

    p.s i have BPD too.

  7. Seems they just want a label to have so they can make out it's more serious than it really is.  Then they will get more sympathy & basically they can continually whine on to all who will listen about their "problems".

  8. Thank you!  And usually when the asker gives a description of their 'problem' it's either very vague or they give the exact symptoms of the disease and should just f*cking look it up on Google.  It's especially common for the depression questions.  The asker gives the exact diagnosis that they have depression, doesn't bother to look it up on Google and gets mad when everyone else says 'well you know, we don't know you so we can't give you shrink advice'.

  9. There is hope in good place for around the community area.  You have

to find them and be a good services in things to rebuild your self in

    faith.

  10. Yes the easiest way to get 10 points on this is to tell the asker what they want to hear. People are very stupid. I don't think it's something that happens only in the mental health section either.

  11. I actually use this site as an additive to my normal therapy. It helps me to see that I'm not alone in this world and everyone has a problem with something Ie; mental, home, heath, whatever        I just weed out he idiot and get knowledge from some people who have been through and seen more than me      who really give a sh t about points!

  12. I think a lot of people are just trying to find out information about their illnesses as doctors do not tend to explain them very well.I don't think it is so much people being mouthy,I think they get frustrated because they don't fully understand what's wrong with them.
