I wont to be a comedian and i need help on writing my story when i do stand up.....How do you write comedy.

Hey I'm trying to do the same. Look around, on youtube, and research some famous comedians. When I did that, I noticed that they talk about the most RANDOM things.

1) pick a random topic that has bugged you or simply amazed you.

2) try to make jokes out of it. As weird as they might look on paper, they can sound amazingly funny with the right tone you speak in.

3) You have to have a punch line (the real joke of the story)

Stand up comedy is basically making a STORY (aka the setup) funny. You can't belt out random things. And the story doesn't have to be something that actually happen to you. It can, but, again, it doesnt have to.

4) You can't get a perfect comedy piece in one sit and write session, so anytime you think of something funny, write it down. It may be useful.

5) Make your pieces the types that require lots of confidence. if you want, you can put some wierd noises (like a car honking or something) and exaggerate it, but not completley out of control!

6) After you've written your piece, you can tweak it when you actually practice it. Practice in front of the mirror or in front of friends (you can get feedback!).
