  1. get a 125 are a 250 are 230 like a ttr125 is the same size in size as and 80/85 but it has a 125cc engine

  2. first go to a couple races and see if you still like it. then talk to your parents about it because it can be VERY dangerous!! Then look around at motocross bikes, and read up on it. The look at stores/online at helmets, gear, chest/back protectors, boots, goggles, jersey, raceing pants, elbow pads..and even more. because it is also very expensive. A pair of raceing boots (which have to be above your ankles to race) can range from $100.00 to $300.00. other wise i would start off with a 85 cc or a 105- ktm. i have a honda 2004 85cc. it works great. also make sure you buy a motocross bike that is water cooled, other wise it might over heat.

email me if you have any other questions.

  3. Your definatetly the age for a 250f you would just have to set your suspension really soft or it will throw you off easily they are very expensive so I think it would be a good idea to get an 85 and first actually learn how to ride before you get a 250f because you can't just jump on a 250f or 125 for that matter and think your going to race dude thats why i'm not suggeting a 250f because 1 you don't know how to ride two a 2001 costs at least 1600 after you learn the BASICS of riding then sell your 85 and buy a 250f good luck man and your never too old to start

  4. It is a tough call as at 5ft 3 you are a little short for a larger class but really if you are almost 16 it would be a waste of money purchasing an 85cc as you could only race it till you were 16.  Go to a dealership and have a look at what bikes are on offer for mx.  Have a sit on a 250f but I think that you would at least need the suspension adjusted and the seat trimmed down before you would be able to race one as you would have difficulty reaching the ground even with one toe.  Ask the local club that you are intending to race at what other classes they have as classes differ from country to country.  make sure whatever bike you purchase that it is designed to race mx.  Bikes like the ttr125, klx125 and crf150f are all not designed to race mx with.  So don't go there.  you are also a bit old for those anyway.
