  1. Well there's a few different meridian type phone systems.  If you have a button on your phone that looks like a circle with a ring around it (like Saturn), then you have a "feature button".  Press feature 65.  Press # or * to navigate and HOLD to delete the message.  You can also dial 0 while reading the message to call the person that sent it.  These should NOT be your voicemails.

  2. If you know what Northstar system you have you can get the manual at:

    http://www.alphatelecom.ca/meridian_nors...

    or try:

    http://www.washington.edu/cac/care/phone...

  3. It will depend on what type of voicemail system you have.  The Meridian telephone is manufactured by Nortel but that does not mean that you have a Nortel voicemail system.  Other manufacturers of voicemail systems can integrate with the Nortel telephone system.  Nortel also manufactures different telephone systems.  If you have 50 phones or less in your office you probably have a Nortel key system (BCM or Norstar...not Northstar).  If you have more than 50 phones you probably have a PBX (Meridian One Option 11, 61, 81 Succession, CS1000).  Nortel made different voicemail systems (Meridian Mail, CallPilot etc) and while the features are similar they may not have the same function codes.

I would start by trying to press the button beside the flashing light or a "mail" button and see if you get any voice prompts.  It will ask you for a password more than likely.  If your company has a telephone administrator they would be able to assist you.
