  1. look on-line it's a great resouce

  2. There are TONS of games for outside with school aged children, you just have to use your imagination.  I know it can be overwhelming, I was in charge of 60 school aged children in a daycare for the summer and before & after school.  Here's a list to try-

    Capture the Flag

    Chain Hide and Seek

    Flashlight Hide and Seek

    Four Square

    Hop Scotch

    Horse

    I Spy

    Kickball

    Kick the Can

    Red Light Green Light

    Sardines

    Shadowing

    Sneaky Sprinkler

    Swing the Statue

Tag - Freeze, TV, Cartoon Character, Hero, Regular, Career, Etc.

    Treasure Hunt

    Nature Walk

    Simon Says

    Obstacle Course

Basically just think of what they might want to do, or ask them for ideas.  One of my children's favorite games was Find the Treasure, where you have a small object and they have to search for it.  You can give clues like "Hot" & "Cold".  The only one that I don't really recommend is Red Rover, we had a child that got hurt running over to the other side and trying to "break" the chain.  Also, if you happen to have some music that has directions in it, "Hokey Pokey" Electric Slide, Going on a Bear Hunt, or things similiar you can do those inside on the rainy days.  Good Luck!!  Enjoy the week of chaos!

  3. Red light/ Green light

    I spy

    Freeze Tag

    Red Roover

    Jump rope

KIND OF LIKE JUMP ROPE but instead you shake the rope on the ground and the kids jump over in> MAKE IN WIDER AS you go along.

    Chinese jump rope

    Simon Says

    Dodge ball

    Kick Ball

    Hop Scottch

Playing board game outdoors is fun

  4. This is a little out of the norm but I remember doing this when i worked at a camp with little ones and they LOVED IT! I would take a small box and put a bunch of stickers in it, then rap it in about 5 layers of wrapping paper with usually with animal pictures, cars or something along the lines of that on it. We'd sit in a circle and play music while passing the box around. When they music stopped, whoever was holding the box would unwrap one layer of paper and whatever was on the paper they would all act out. After the box was completely unwrapped, they'd all get stickers or whatever you decide to put in the box, which of course is the highlight of their day. It's a great game to play with a lot of space. The kids always want to move about while pretending.

  5. Scavenger hunts are a big hit with kids.  Hide abunch of stuff outside and give a list of all the things you hid to the kids and have them go look for them. You could also just use what nature has already put outside.

  6. Parachute!!!  You can rent them or just get a big plastic tablecloth from the dollar store. Have everyone grab it and you throw it up in the air(without letting go) and have 1 or 2 kids at a time run under and back out before the "parachute" gets back down. Wonderful for groups with mixed ages!

  7. you can play hide and seek, tag, duck duck goose or go to a park.
