I work at an aggregate facility as a mechanic while performing repairs found GOLD!?

Question

I had always heard a gold rendering capability was built into our operation yet had no knowledge it actually existed .My immediate supervisor (MAX) not real name, was retiring and I was next in line for Max's job . Max was a friend of my Pops and . had the job before Max On the last day Max showed me something only He knew of , A place on the conveyor under a shaker table where Gold dust,and nuggets!! would fall unnoticed!! Max says about 10lbs a year!! I nowmust now ensure it remains unnoticed and never schedule a man to that area except myself. If I simply ignore it it will soon be readily apparent and questions will arise as to how long this has occured and why it went undiscovered and how much Gold was ending up there and how fast ? Not Good for Max or Myself as Max implicated my Pops as well and in a round about way hinted that must remain secret for POPS sake??? What do I do??

First thing to do is stop being a TROLL (you are not very good at it, good trolls can get 20 or so responses in the first 10 minutes)

Second, I don't really know, if it really was 10lb /year the theft is quite a serious crime, you might talk to a lawyer, Or you might quit and move to another state. If you just recently learned about it and haven taken large quantities, it probably wouldn't be worth pursuing you across state lines, then hope they don't bother going after MAX and pop (if they don't have evidence they may not think it worth their time for something that happened some time ago)
