So this guy that I argued with about how recieving foriegn money does not make it US tender was really RED when I said " No worries bud, I got this one." as I reached for my wallet and payed for his meal in front of his son. is now claiming I scratched his truck by throwing a coin out drive threw window. no witnesses just my word and his. he has called company insurence whom after hearing my testomony denied his claim. Now he gets lawyer and company says they gonna tell lawyer to speak to insurence Co. I'm only worried because in two years I will be a history teacher unless I get something big on my record. Im loseing sleep over this and classes start monday. should I fret? P.S. I know I should not have been a jerk but he called me a dumb @$$. just cause I work fast food through school does not make me stupid!

  1. typically on that type of matter it is a civil matter if there were no police reports on it then he cannot file charges, your future job cannot use that as a reason to not hire you, It's like being sued by a back due bill company it is a private matter not criminal i would advise you to ask the current employer if they have security video feed from the day in question that would absolve you of this all together, Honestly i have been a security officer for five years and i ll tell you that this is a matter that will end up not affecting your new career path in the future

  2. How in the world was what you did rude,in any way?

I think it was super nice of you.

He was the a s s hole.I mean doesnt he know that this is America, and you can only use american money, and in some places mexican money, not canadian money!!

Why would he say that you scratched his truck? I think that you did nothing wrong, and if you just tell the honest truth, then things should come out your way.

But even if that did go on a record,i doubt that would effect you being a teacher. That is not a very big offense.

  3. Ignore the clod.

    He' just a sore loser.

The fact that the insurance company denied his claim speaks volumes.

  4. I don't think you should worry. It doesn't sound like a big enough thing - a scratch on a truck by a coin - for him to be serious about getting a lawyer involved. And if he DOES take you to court, the jury will probably just laugh at him for being such an idiot.
