but i don't have a work email. what else can i do to get the discount?

Call Verizon's customer service and explain the situation. They will give you the discount. You will probably have to offer up some kind of proof though. Good luck.

Talk to your manager. He or she will have the information for you to get the discount or will know where to get those answers.
