  1. ONLY if they are considered 'dependents' or you have guardianship. Insurance are kinda funny about those things. You just don't claim people on your insurance. You have to have proof that they are dependents (ie, have you claimed them on your income tax?). You need a set date of event (called a 'life changing event' or 'qualifying event' such as a marriage, divorce, birth, etc and proof of such event.


  2. I presume you are talking about adding them to your health insurance.  You need to review the details of your group policy to see who can be added as a family member.
