I work for a nationwide chain and need help from anybody who knows business?

in ca. is it legal for the company you work for and is being taken over by another company, but will still be doing business under original name. to look at an employee with 5 years plus and say you lost your seniority, today is your 1st day of work.

  1. Sure they can. It's called a buyout. Just feel lucky that you still have a job. And No this is not why we have Unions. Unions are basically a big business owning all the labor and selling it to another big Business.


  2. ~~Sadly they can, and they can also change job positions, salaries, and even lay off. It's not right, but they can make whatever changes they want.  This is why it's important to have unions, they protect workers from these sort of things.~~

  3. i think they do not take the company you worked for seriously, maybe never will!
