I work for an Alumni Association as the Membership Manager..any great ideas?

It depends upon your goal.  For increasing renewals, try an exclusive gift (such as a Members Only lapel pin) with a multi-year sign-up.  To increase endowments, have seminars on creating pre-planned gifts, and the tax advantages of these.  To solicit new memberships, try marketing to graduating and newly-graduated students, before they lose their school spirit, or you have obsolete contact information.
