  1. Only if your terms and conditions state so (((

  2. It is best to look at your contract of employment to be sure.

Unfortunatly in most cases in the retail or catering, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve are normal working days. They are not classed as public holidays so the normal rate applies even if your shift goes past midnight.

  3. Its time and a half. It also depends on where you work. But why would you evenwantto work CHristmas?

  4. nope. christmas eve and new years eve arent considered holidays (well in australia they arent) and so unless you have already worked more than your maximum work hours for your postition, then you wouldn't be getting doublt time or time 1/2 unless your boss is feeling very generous.

    happy holidays though =)

  5. your not I'm afraid but put your Christmas hat on and give some cheer and those tips should come pouring in.  Christmas is a time for giving after all

  6. No you're not because they aren't officially a stat holiday...only Christmas Day and New Year's Day are.

  7. doubt it but i think xmas day is over triple pay!

  8. you are not entitled to any extra on xmas eve and new years eve as they not a public holiday, it is at the discretion of your boss and your contract what you get, if you are contracted to 365 days a year you prob aren't entitled to extra.

  9. greedy get what about all the free drinks and tips god some people dont know how lucky they are

  10. No, as new years eve and christmas eve are not public holidays.

  11. You're entitled to whatever your boss is willing to pay you.

  12. LEGALLY no?!

but you are entitled to a day in lieu?
