We have four sauces that we use. Right now we have about 15 designs, but they get old pretty quick. We've exhausted all of our creativeness for the time being. Anyone have any ideas? Or a website with pictures or something?

  1. zig zag on the border of the plate. or mint, bundles of complimentary herbs,um, edible gold and silver touches, or look on food sites , ( type in edible garnishes) and see what that brings up. In the olden days, my dad made his own, and got creative, but in this day and time ppl expect more tht they did 25 years ago.

  2. What about asking the reason that the people are eating out at that time.  Then you can write a note about that - "happy birthday" "Congrats" or even "Have a nice dessert" or funny sayings .... be creative and then you can have endless possibilities.

  3. Try the Food Network. Great site.

By sauces and designs I'm assuming you mean you have various sauces that you swirl into various designs on the plate? Because that's always very popular.

Something else to try is herbs. A sprig of mint next to a piece of dessert on a bare, white plate. A tied bundle of tarragon, or rosemary (basically something that would compliment the flavor) lying atop the dessert or next to it would look nice, as well.

There is also edible gold and silver that can be played with. And as far as sauces and designs, have you tried sponging them on? Give it a whirl...sponge a few well placed spots of the sauce on the plate, it should look like a nice canvas painting when you're done.

    Good luck!
