I work in a restaurant that has a bad pigeon problem on the patio. What are low cost ways to discourage them?

from bothering our customers and scavenging? Unfortunately some customers think they are cute and throw food bits to them so they keep coming back and multiplying. Please help! They are dirty and annoying!

Cheapest would probably be to have everyone shoo them away with their hands.

Shoot them in the morning with a pellet gun,and then serve them as an appetizer in the evening. List it on the menu as an exotic appetizer. pijoiy?

Rice- if they eat it they suffocate (Somewhere else. Rice absorbs water so, it just gets like, huge in their stomachs.)
