  1. if people have a certain level of bipolar, they can't work.

how about you come live where im at and see how unfair it really is before you start judging your own friend for her diability

EDIT:  my mother is bipolar and she takes 11 different medications!  she can't work, her doctor won't allow it.  so how is someone supposed to get money?  the government helps people like that.

and so what if she's lazy?  let her live her life.  you are supposed to be her friend, not someone who passes judgement on her

  2. BE GLAD THAT YOU ARE NOT DISABLED!!! STOP BEING SO JEALOUS OF THE MENTALLY ILL!!!

  3. Personally, I don't think I would be friends with a person that did not have the same work ethic and priorities the I do, but that is your choice.

On the flipside you interact with people on a daily basis, and despite your disability work and support yourself and contribute to society, especially working with children (who knows you could helping to shape the mind of future leader of our country); she, on the otherhand doesn't.

The gravy train may not last for her and government continues to cut back on social programs and her life may not be as easy (or boring and unfulfilling).

You would also be more dateable and desirable to a would be mate than someone who leaches off society.

While there are people with legitimate psychological problems and they really could not be able to work, there are more fakers and people who simply don't try because their relative and the government, for the time being anyway, make it easier for them not to and the saddest thing is it only makes them more depressed and lowers their self-esteem because they have no purpose in life.

  4. If you'd like to be mentally ill and disabled .. then you are a fool ... be glad that you can function in society .

Whether or not you understand this , social security is very difficult to get on ... then they check you out every few years ... these are not welfare recipients who can hold jobs ... these are genuinely disabled people .

  5. i would prefer the bi-polar non enthusiastic friend to continue watching tv while motivated people look after my child. i would also be happy i am working ,my butt of trying to achieve something and having the energy to get out of the house... life gets us no where being jelous, judging or comparing people. goodluck

  6. yeah i can feel your pain in that , but you won't get anywhere being jealous , focus on your life and your self , its the best thing for you to do

  7. I do not know about your friend and how badly the bipolar affects her but speaking for me, I have worked hard my entire life, sometimes two and even three jobs at a time to raise four children.

Now I have heart trouble, lung trouble and Arthritis which has really crippled me. I would give anything to be able to go back to work but I can't. Life is patently unfair at times but we prevail by not dwelling on the unfair. Better to make our own lives stand for something. God Bless.

  8. I don't think it's unfair at all. Ask yourself - would you be complaining if your friend had Multiple Sclerosis ? Mental illnesses can be just as debilitating as physical illnesses.

  9. Bi polar isn't a mental illness that should require government funding like that.

  10. I say you gotta walk a mile in her mocasins before you pass judgement on this one...Bipolar is a horrible thing to live with and she probably isn't capable of working at this time.  Hopefully she is receiving the medical help she needs to get stablized.

As for you having to pay rent and work hard...so do most poeple...thats life...enjoy the fact that you can and all the world has to offer you.

So when do you work if you are around her all the time?  And if her admitted laziness is true and all that..then she has to live with herself...be happy in who you are and enjoy life, it is too short to spend waisitng over stupid jealousy of someone like this and if you must be jealous, be jealous of the money and lifestyle of people like Bill Gates.
