I work with children with extreme behaviors and i have never taught before. Anyway during the summer i will?

Question

be an activity leader with all the children from preschool to 9th grade. My theme is going to be reduce, reuse and recycle. any ideas on activities that i can do that will also promote teamwork??

1. Have the kids calculate their carbon footprints and then set a goal for reduction in the class' total footprint and give them a prize if they reach it by the end of the summer.

2. Do crafts/art projects using previously used materials (they can even bring in materials).

3. Have them create posters/speeches that encourage the community to reduce, reuse, recycle and then (having checked with owners) put them up around the community.

4. Find "low ropes course" ideas (always good for teamwork) and find creative ways to put a global warming spin on them.
