what do you mean? why wouldn't you get taxed? they have to tax you. you don't get it back.

You apply to the tax office which is in your phone book. They will send you the form. However they may wait until the end of the tax year becuase you could work again before that.

In the UK, this depends on your personal circumstances.  You will have an annual personal allowance that you can earn tax free ... so it depends on what you have earnt to date or intend to earn for the rest of the tax year.  The tax you paid seems like it was on an emergency basis. I suggest you contact Her Majestys Customs and Revenue ( .. aka The Tax man ) and ask that very question ...
