I would join Paris Saint-Germain right away, says FC Porto's Eliaquim Mangala – Report
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eliaquim-Mangala-c12266, claims that he would sign for French giants, Paris Saint-Germain immediately if he was given an offer by the club. The defender joined the ranks at Estadio do Dragao in the summer but insists that he would not hesitate
in returning to his homeland if the Parisians made a bid for his services.
French U-21 International, Eliaquim Mangala, signed for the Portistas this summer after the club acquired his services in a €12.5 million alongside his teammate, Steven Defour.
During his spell with Standard Liege, the 20-year-old had attracted the attention of several top clubs with his performances. And after making the breakthrough to the first team in 2008, the centre-back cemented his role as a starter the following term and
proved to be a rock at the back.
By the 2009/2010 campaign, Mangala has become first choice at the helm and played a key role for the Belgian outfit during the course of the term, netting twice, once in a league tie and once in the UEFA Champions League.
In the summer however, FC Porto landed his services and he has since then been plying his trade in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. However he has not been a regular feature for the side due to the presence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rolando-c31583 and Nicolas Otamendi and claims that he
would parts ways with the Dragons if the likes of Paris Saint-Germain came knocking.
Speaking to reporters, the former Namur man said that he would be delighted with the opportunity to return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 but revealed that no club had opened up talks with him yet.
"I would like to go to Ligue 1 if there were offers. No-one has contacted me, but I know that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 made an offer to Standard Liege, but they did not want to sell me back then,” he said.
He also claimed that he was a big fan of the cash-rich Paris Saint-Germain and would sign for them if they chose to acquire his services.
"I am a big fan of PSG. If I would be interested in joining them? Of course! I would go right away,” Eliaquim Mangala was quoted as saying.
With PSG showing in their interest in centre-backs during the summer and Eliaquim Mangala open to a switch, this transfer window beckons to be a tricky one for FC Porto.
