  8. this is kinda just for the points but you spelt recipe as receipt sorry just bein picky lol

  9. If you find someone who will buy the horseradish that you make, when they pay for it, it is you who should give them the 'receipt', not the other way around.

I'm pretty sure that what you want is a 'recipe' not a 'receipt' at this point.  I found a pretty cool website that you may want to check out.  It's called, Horseradish dot org.  There are some great recipes there.  Good luck!

  10. *****Horseradish

1 cup Cubed peeled horseradish Root (1/2−inch pieces)

    3/4 cup Vinegar

    2 teaspoons Sugar

    1/4 teaspoon Salt

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender; process until

pureed. Carefully remove cover of processor or blender, keeping face away

from container. Cover and store in the refrigerator. Use as a condiment or

in other recipes. Yield: 1−1/4 cups.

  11. Okay first of all people here know nothing. I will answer your question and second of all it says that you grew it and then people are telling you ask where you bought it and stuff.

Okay now that's out of the way I will answer you question. Have you already pulled the root? If not then let the hose run over the root area for a few min, wiggle it and dig around it. The let the hose run some more. You don't want to pull it all the way but you can go pretty deep.

Rinse the root off and peel with a veggie peeler. I like the smell of it when I peel it. However when you go to grind it up take it outside or your eyes and sinuses will HATE you.

Cut it up into decent sized chunks. And from here you can do it one of a couple different ways. Strait to the blender with some vinegar or water but I think that vinegar tastes best. Use the shredder blad in the food processor and just shred it. Or shred it then blend with some vinegar. And then just put it in a jar. It does make up quite a bit and makes a nice little something to take to friends. If you don;t use it right away it may kind of dry out, just add a little vinegar to restore it.

****I don't usually like vinegar but in this case it really is best. I just use plain but apple cider would probably be good too.

I love a mix of mayo, ketchup and horseradish for roast beef mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  12. I hear ya, I'm sick of getting ripped off by those gangsters at Radish Mart.

  13. look it up on google or yahoo not on yahoo answers no one is going to answers !!!

  14. Wow!  Fresh garden horseradish!

I buy the roots at my health food when I want to cook with it, have never grown it at home.

Basic horseradish condiment is usually horseradish grated fine and mixed with vinegar and other spices.  I suggest you look at various recipes and find a blend of ingredients that you like.

Search recipe sites like allrecipes.com or epicurious.com, there are lots of them out there - then after reviewing recipies you can make up your own!  I never buy ketchup because I almost never eat it.  Was fixing meatloaf one night (a ketchup must-have) and had to whip up a batch of homemade ketchup.  It was fantastic, and I can control the amount of salt in it.

Horseradish can also be cooked into foods, but becomes very mild during the cooking process.  I actually add it coarsely grated in rather large quanties to my meatloaf now.
