by double standards. What I mean is if the law says that the government is responsible for health of an american citizen in an american jail and that citizen gets mistreated, medically and loses their kidney functions, forced to suffer dialysis, should the government be held accountable?

  1. Intriguing question, from my experience i have come to the assumption that it is "our biased" that holds us together.

  2. I would hope so.  If I were you I would go to the tenth degree to bring about a suit against the government agency responsible for the health.  I wouldn't let it be until I got satisfaction.  There are many law agencies that will take cases involving harm caused by government.

  3. I'm trying to understand what your questions is. Are you saying that a person in prison wasn't diagnosed properly with a kidney infection or some sort of problem?

I'm sure you could hold someone accountable, but can you prove this? Was this an ailment that the person had prior to entering prison? Is he diabetic?

Someone needs to investigate exactly what happened that you feel caused his mistreatment. Since he is under the watch of the city or state, ignoring medical problems is grounds for a lawsuit. But you have to prove that medical personnel were negligent in his diagnosis.

In other words, you need a good attorney. Not knowing what the case is besides what you have here isn't really a good way to make an assessment as to whether you actually have something.

  4. I need  more facts on this case to give a res ponce? If malice is proven, and the prisoner in question has suffered from negligence of the fact, then yes.

  5. Most definitely.
