I would like to ask how many days to apply visiting visa in Seoul Korea? does it had expedite?

I am a Mech. engr. my co-engr. whose a korean architect invite me to go to korea to have plant inspection with him in just only 3 days. how can i get visa? Do i need to apply personally? what are the requirements? does it have expedite?

if you are a us citizenship i don't think you need one... i'm french and i went to seoul without visa... the USA are closer (politically i mean) than france to south korea...
