what is the best force to go into( i live in rishton/Blackburn area)? the best area e.g traffic, armed response?

how hard is the entrance test?

would you recommend going to college-university first?

what is the starting pay, does anybody know pays for different parts of the police

any other usefull info would be appreciated

  1. depends what risks you are prepared to take,,i would go to college first because the more A levels you get the better possion you can get once in the police,think carefully its a bad world out there now,if i were you mother i would worry about you joining up. good luck


  2. I know colleges offer "public services" courses which help you get accepted and there are clubs like "police cadets" which will also help you get accepted.

    When you're 17 you can join up. Good luck x

  4. I am ashamed to say it, but stay away from GMP. They are ineffecient and poorly run. They have a lot of idiots for supervisors.

    I would apply for Lancs police if I was you.

    You will have to do 2 years as a normal patrol officer and then you can specialise if you like.
