I would like to become actively involved in economic localization efforts in my city. Where should I start?

Well actually, you could simple start by shutting off all lights when you're done using them, recycling, unplugging cell phone chargers when not in use, and using the new environmentally safe lightbulbs. Even just doing things like that helps the world little by little. If everyone did these things, the world would already be a better place to live. :)


  2. I'm not sure what you are looking for.  What are "economic localization efforts"?

    It sounds as if you are trying to boost local businesses.  If that's the case, contact the local or county chamber of commerce.  Or there may be some kind of city sponsored business forum.

    Or are you looking for an "ecological" [not economic] based group.  If that's the case, see if there is a city environmental commission.

    If neither assumption is correct, then rephrase your question to make it more understandable.
