  2. I just built a 10x20 deck and if you don't mind I could send you a list of materials and layout plan with post layout through e mail, It cost me roughly $900.00 just for the deck,

  3. Easy to calculate. You will need 10' 2x8's for the joists 16" on center. 2x8 blocking between the joists. 2x10 face boards around the perimeter and 5/4 x 6 decking.

    The joists will be mounted on 4x4 posts either mounted upon concrete piers or down into the ground below frost line, no less than 4' on center, as high as you want them above the ground and the corner ones 3-4' up to support a railing system.

    The easiest way is to ask the home center guy, he will just need your desired detentions and will go through a similar process as I did, probably using a software program.
