  1. Hi Sri.    Great Question!!!   I would have more of a tendency of buying a used camera on eBay rather than a new one...  the reason is that many, many sellers of new(?) cameras are really selling Refurbished models.   That is why they can sell them so much below the price you see in the store.  Now, refurbised is not necessarily a bad thing...  but it could become a problem if there was originally something wrong with the camera in the first place..  i.e. reason for it being sold as Refurbished.  A seller may or may not  disclose that piece of information in the description so you do take that risk.  When you buy from a store and in person you have the benefit of asking all those important questions of the sales representative, including what warranty is applied and if you can even buy an extended warranty.   I don't have anything against buying from eBay, as I have many feedbacks for buying and selling.  I just wouldn't buy a new camera there.   Just to give you something else to consider.  :))  Best of Luck.

  2. The best thing to do when buying anything on ebay is to check the sellers feedback rating and how long they have been a member. you can also read their negative feedback (as well as positive) comments to get an idea of what kind of seller they are and how they handle complaints. Check the warranty info on their listing as well as their return policies CAREFULLY!!, and if you're still not sure than you can contact the seller for information.

  3. At ebay buying (not selling) works on risk and luck.If u buy from a shops most likely you will get demo camera (and they opens one more).
