Homeschooling can be expensive, but it doesn't have to be.  It depends on what kind of curriculum you are using.  Library books can be used for free; other good sources for buying books are thrift stores, amazon.com (for used books), library book sales, etc.  There is also an organization that gives away used homeschool curriculum.  The link is below:

The list of other websites that you can piece together for a full curriculum could go on forever as the Internet is vast and full of great  free resources. Your library is your other great resource. No one needs to spend a ton on homeschooling, it is their choice.

Our library will order any book we request. Plus it already has most things.

I bought a lot of our books on Amazon and Half and the shipping costs were higher than the cost of the books.

Well there's always the public library.  They have every book on every topic you can ask for
