I would like to find a famous chess game ending, with checkmate of either King on square H1?

Preferably, a game between the likes of Kasporov, Karpov etc. The less number of moves, the better. I.E. I would like to see a game of 40 moves, rather than a game of 1040 moves! The less the better! But the game must be 'Checkmate!' with either the black or the white king on the H1 square.

  1. A modern game ending in check mate?  Sorry, but Kasparov or Karpov would know the en is coming and resign before mate.

  2. I would be very surprised if you find an answer to this question, and would very much like to see it myself. For the king to be in checkmate on H1 it would either have had to castled into a weak position and retreated to the corner, or would have been forced there by stronger play from the  opponent. Either is unlikely to result in checkmate, as grand masters wouldn't make the mistakes in the first place. They would also almost definitely resign a few moves before mate if the king was attacked so heavily that it was going to be forced to the corner to die. Good luck with your quest !
