I would like to find out how to start a family tree?

start with you. List only your blood relations-- in your first column write your parents names, and then underneath them, the names of your siblings and you in the order in which you were born. Be sure and have your mothers maiden name written down. Next column, title your column, "dad" (or "mom) then write the names of his blood parents, and then your aunts or uncles with your dad in the order in which they were born.  Do the same for your other parent, then move to your grandparents and do the same. If you can try to get to your great-grandparents. If you're sure of an existance of a relative, but not of the name, just write "Brother. ?" for example. If you have no clue, just write ?.

Now your family should be organized into columns. Go to the site below, print out a free family tree sheet, and start plugging in names where it asks for them...its very easy. Once you have as many names as possible filled into your sheet, (and you can print out more and have the number 1 slot be the same as number X on the first page) go back and try to fill in as much hard data-- birth dates, birth places, marriage dates, death dates, etc. as possible.

You'll probably have a little more than you thought, but then you'll probably have lots of places where you don't know much at all. Then you get to start researching!  Yea! Best of Luck!

speak to the oldest member of your family. he/she shud be able to go back at least 3 generations.

Ok try to ask your grandparents who was in there family and how many uncles and brothers, and so on that they had.  

google family trees and there might be a blank one that you could fill out.
