Question:

I would like to get a dark tan before i go back to school. im already kind of dark-ish.?

i dont want to go to a tanning bed, and i dont want to use a self tanner lotion, spray tan etc..

how long should I lay outside, and about what time would be good?

please no lectures on skin cancer..blah, blah, blah.

  1. i would say 30 min depending where you live? i mean if you live in the middle of the country than longer. i live in fl and i lay out for 30 and i am  good to gooooooo


  2. 11am-2pm are peak tanning hours (when the sun is the strongest)

    Exfoliate in the shower prior to sun exposure to remove dead skin build up for a more even and deeper tan (will last longer and be richer in color)

    Alos your skin must be MOIST in order for the UV rays to absorb into it, dry skin deflects the sun causing it to burn quickly and tan slower.

    Try not to use oils altho they are tempting, they are not healthy for your skin and dont give long lasting results. A plain old moisturizer will do just fine!! If you can lay BY the water for the sun reflects off the water and creates a more intense tan for you!

    Also, moisturize twice a day to EXTEND AND PROLONG the life of your tan otherwise the SUN dehydrates the skin and causing it to exfoliates more the normal (peel, flake, dry up, etc). Dont burn!! Have fun!
