Is this a good engine for a motorhome verses the cummins etc.

NO buy the Cummings, its going to cost you a lot more in maintains after the warranty is up. also the labor rates are higher, parts are hard to get keep in mind that it the engine is made in germany. the one you are talking about may be twin turbo. that is another huge cost. the Cummings has been around a lot longer,parts are easier and cheaper to get . it sounds like you are looking at the 900 model.do youre self a favor and get a Cummings don't let them talk you into a mercedes . good luck.
