  1. I know you used to be able to use other forms of ID but I think most airlines will now only accept passports.  Its safer to bring it.  Check the airlines website for their policy.

    For a plane you Will need a passport.  But for a boat you won't!... Hope it helps! :-)

  3. Yes you will unless you are a citizen of any European union nation.

    The Common Travel Area means that there are no passport controls in operation for Irish and UK citizens travelling between the two countries.

    You must, however, carry an acceptable form of photo-identification:

    A - driver's licence

    B - national ID card

    C - Garda ID
