  1. You will be misguided to go to the USA as a Bangladeshi. They will put you in prison because although you may be a good person, all dark people are seen by them as terrorists and are treated as such. My advice is to get your daughter to visit you here and try to persuade her to move over here as well.

  2. How can you be resident here on a bangladeshi passport and why dont you apply for a U.K. passport which will solve alot of problems in the short term

  3. Phone the American embassy or check out their website. Most British citizens do not need a visa.

  4. Contact the USA embassy in London, ask them.

  5. You are still a citizen of Bangladesh, so you will need a visa to visit the United States.  Because you are a resident of the UK, you are entitled to apply for the visa (B-2) in the UK, at the US Embassy London.

Visa applicants aged 14 to 79 are required to schedule an appointment for an interview with a U.S. consular officer. Interviews are by appointment only.

All B-2 visa applicants are required to:

Complete the visa application form DS-156; pay a visa application fee; present a passport or other travel document valid for at least six months beyond the holder's period of stay in the United States with at least one blank page; provide one photograph which meets State Department regulations; present evidence of sufficient funds to cover all expenses while in the United States; and provide evidence to show that the applicant has significant ties to the UK such that it is most likely that the applicant intends to return at the end of the stay in the United States.

Approved, routine visa applications take approximately 5 workdays to process after the visa interview.

See the following site for more details, including the visa application form:

  6. ask  your daughter to meet you in  your home then no problem i take it she holds a bangladeshi passport

  7. You'll need to apply in advance for a visa. (Because Bangladeshi citizens need one.) Your local travel agent may know how other clients in your situation have got on, how long it took etc, so if you live in an area where there are lots of people with Bangladeshi citizenship, you could consult the travel agent first. At least you can get the address of the American consulate from them, to write and ask for visa application forms (enclose a big stamped addressed envelope). The visa may take a few weeks (because you have to wait for an interview date), but there should be no problem with it, if you get a letter of invitation from your daughter in USA, and you can show evidence of her right of residence there and your residence in UK.

Edit:  There seems to be a thumbs-down bandit about! Basically the information I gave is correct, though not so detailed as the next contributor. Have a good trip.
