  4. ok i have checked this out with ryanair and although you do not technically need one this is a grey area. It is recomendded that you do thou if you have got a photo ID driving licence that would do it, assuming you are flying from the uk.

    You need photo id to come from the United Kingdom or countries in the European union if that is where you are.  You need a passport from all other countries.
