Check out uscis.gov for forms and instructions available on-line.  You can't apply for the green card directly, you have to apply for some immigrant status that would lead to green card status. Most immigrant petitions are based on close family relationships.

for studies, you do NOT get a green card only a student visa, come back and precise your location if you are not in the US?
