  2. Smaller class size provides opportunity for more personalized instruction.

True socialization with all age groups as you interact with life. No where else in life will we be grouped with people all our same age, and move from place to place by the sound of a bell.

  3. You could have an outline something like...

    I: Social Aspect

    A: Child

    1: Psycological Aspect

    2: Emotional Aspect

    B: Teenager

    1: Psycological Aspect

    2: Emotional Aspect

    II: Educational Aspect

    A: Time Schedule

    B: Learning Enviroment

III: Differences with Public School and Private School.... so on and so forth

  4. sounds fun. ok homeschooling. i suggest u brainstrom the word. write it down on a page (in the centre) and draw squiggly lines stemming from it and at each end write wat comes to mind. then separate the pros and cons. example: lack of social development as a con. and pro will be avoiding social problems like peer pressure. goodluk!

  5. You can not say home schooling is always bad or always good. It depends on the child, and also on the abiltys of the parents. It may also change, maybe a child benefits from home schooling in a certain age but not in another.

  6. My favorite site....http://learninfreedom.org/socialization....

Larry Shyers used to be against homeschooling and set out to prove it was bad for kids. He now is an advocate for Home schooling because of his studies.

  7. I am homeschooled, I am very smart for my age and I also have a homeschool class in writing and we are writing better then a pre-ap class. I have tons of friends so don't say homeschoolers are cut off from the world!!!!

  8. i was home schooled for 1year when i moved country when i was 13. i spent most of the year crying because i didn't have any friends and just wanted to go to school. my grades stayed the same and i gained nothing from it but heartache. I'm sorry but i think children need to socialize as well as learn to become great adults. home schooled people seem to be shy and struggle in the work place more.

  9. I have homeschooled 11 children (all ours) for 18 years - one of the best websites - Homeschool Legal Defense - there is a plethora of scientific studies and success stories. The site is www.hslda.org

Can't help you on the con side - my experience with home education has been incredibly positive.  3 homeschool graduates - all in college and/or have degree - rest still in homeschool.  Don't let anybody tell you that homeschoolers are not socialized properly - (which seems to be the most popular argument against) I can go to any fast food restaurant and find public schooled kids who can't carry on a conversation with an adult.  Children need to taught social skills from an adult, not another child.  Parents are the key to any child's education - parents are responsible (before God) - whether they homeschool, public or private school.  The "buck stops" with parents.  Sorry - I'm babbling on . . . check out the website - it will give you plenty of fodder!!
